Here is an interview that I did with I Paint My Mind. I am very proud of the piece and that is due in no small part to the quality of questions from interviewers Evan La Ruffa and Sonny Kay. Below is an excerpt.
“When I started working conceptually as an artist, I felt like a rough fish swimming through seemingly empty waters. Over time, bits of debris began to stick to my surface. My heart stayed the same but my shape began changing and I started to grow and the larger I got, the faster I grew. My course changed as I caught light in different directions and masses that accumulated on my surface either held tight or snapped off and became food for scavengers. Of course, I am responding metaphorically, but for me, this allegory has cracked the egg and chased off the chicken.”
